The Canard Project Oregon City, Oregon; Architect: The White Collection Project Description: The project consisted of Exterior Sunscreens. The customers wanted to protect the homes interior furnishings while preserving the view. The application consisted of three key areas. The first area is the great room (three shades at 9’ 3” wide by 18’ 9” drop) and stairs (one shade at 10’ 8” wide by 23’ 9” drop). The desire was to control the amount of light into the room by having preset stops at the different window breaks. The second area was the patio/pool deck (one shade at 9’ wide by 10’ 9” drop and one at 16’ 9” wide by 10’ 9” drop). The desire here was also to control the sun and glare from the pool, while providing privacy for the area.
The third area was the media room (one shade at 17’8” wide by 11’ drop and one 17’ 2” wide by 6’ drop). The shades were blackout so the lighting could be controlled. The customer desired the shades to react to the sun and the wind due to the length of the shades. The system was further controlled by remote and RS232 for home automation interface. |
